Pitch Black is The Colour of My Life.

Here's a short story written by me. But actually my whole class discussed the story. We played a game in class where one have to continue the story from another. But the story's ending we have to write on our own. The words are mine but the ideas belong to all my great classmates. The ending is my own idea though. It'll be kind of draggy on the beginning, but i just posing this for fun. So Fun to The World!

Short Story: Pitch Black is The Colour of My Life.

It was a dark, rainy day. Lina was walking alone along the road. She was sad and crying. Suddenly, a men appeared out of nowhere. He looked alien-ish and quite scary. She cried even more as the man approaches. Unexpectedly, the man kissed her. She asked with her sobbing eyes annoyed, “Dude, why did you kiss me?” He replied, “I’m sorry, but you look like my late wife.” Feeling extra annoyed, Lina said, “That’s not a reason to kiss a random women and this is weird!” And she walked away wiping her tears off her hazel-coloured eyes. The man didn’t gave up, instead he started to chase after her. As the man clasped Lina from behind, bewildered Lina asked, “Why are you doing this? You are going to regret this!” She said that and turned around to face him simultaneously.

He was petrified as he saw Lina’s eyes pouring blood. As he tried not to scream his heart out, he realised some odd changes in her face and hair. She was turning into MEDUSA! The next thing Lina knows, the man fell unconsciously on the street. As Lina smirked and started to make her move, a luxurious car slowed down by her. Unexpectedly, a voluptuous women stepped out of the car and started to snap some pictures of the scene. “Ring! Ring” She heard a familiar sound. It was the alarm. She woke up with a discombobulated mind, thinking of the delirious dream she had. Next thing she knows, she ended up in front of the dream interpreter’s doorsteps. After she explained everything about the dream, the dream interpreter looked at her as if she was a bedlamite. In a joking manner, he said, “Are you really sure it was a dream?” Lina was confused than ever.

“CUT!!” The director shrilled, sitting cozily in his chair. Lina got out from the shooting set and walk towards her seat that was written ‘Medusa’ on it. As she flapped her hands in the air to cool her down, the director offered her a drink. She gleefully accepted the drink. A strange feeling grows in her heart, as if it was going to burst. It was love! Sure it seemed that way. Love for the most successful, caring and altruistic man she had ever seen. “Wait a minute! Why am I feeling all woozy?” a small voice inside her head asked her. She started to waver. There was no one around except for the director, who was miles away from her. Unless he’s Mister Fantastic from the Fantastic Four, there is no way he could catch me before I fall off the chair. “That’s it! I’m going to taste the floor!” Whoosh. Out of nowhere, a helping hand came to catch her just before she fall off the chair. She looked up and it was her co-actor, Matthew. He looked rather attractive without his alien-ish make up. He gently bought her to a room, kindly settled her on the couch to rest and left.

She slowly fluttered open her eyes. It was not a familiar sight. Bright light blared through the side window. “Where on earth am I?” she sighed. The place smelled like chocolate chip cookies, which she liked. She gently got up from the velvet-coloured couch and searched for her belongings. No sign of them, not even her precious smartphone. She felt as if the world is crashing down on her. “That’s it. I’m lost and doomed. I’m probably dead!” she whined. She kept on whining, thinking of the worst possibilities. All of a sudden, she heard small footsteps coming down the stairs. She stopped whining and turned her gaze towards the stairs. An adorable small boy came down the stairs and stopped abruptly in front of her. Eating his chocolate chip cookie and holding his Captain America action figure, the boy asked plainly, “Who are you? What are you doing in my house?” She asked the little boy, “I’m Melina and are there any adults in here, your mom perhaps?” Taking a bite of his chocolate chip cookie, the little boy called out his mom.

His mom, quite a humble-looking lady, rushed out of the kitchen. Looking surprised, the lady said with such a pleasant voice, “Beautiful Melina dear, how you have been? It’s a shame really that we are living right next to each other but, I barely see you!” Melina went speechless, because she had no memory of this humble lady who claims to be her neighbour. With an awkward smile, she nodded. The neighbour lady disappeared into the kitchen. Melina spaced out and snapped back to reality when the lady reappeared with a tray in her hand, filled with teapot, teacups, and some chocolate chip cookies. She could really use some tea right now. And cookies too! Sipping her tea, Melina explained everything from feeling woozy after a drink at the shooting studio up till her gaining consciousness in the couch where they are sitting right now.

After listening thoughtfully to Melina, the neighbour lady said, “Well, I don’t know either how did you ended up here but as I told you, your house is right next to mine and I think it’s better for you to make a move because your husband will be coming home anytime now.” She said that in one breath. Melina politely got up from couch and made her move. Upon reaching the front door of her, claimed to be neighbour’s house, she paused and felt as if something was wrong. She looked down her fingers and spotted a shiny pink diamond ring, “Wait! I’m married?” With a moaning sound, she fell unconscious on the floor, again. And this time she really did tasted the floor. Dust and dirt.
“Poor girl, the anti-ageing pill is affecting her memory,” It was the neighbour lady. That was the last thing Melina heard and everything went pitch black.
